The Video Download Tool allows you to download Twitch Past Broadcasts, Highlights and Clips. All recent videos are split into 30 minute segments. The videos are split because Twitch decided to store them in this way. Clips and Highlights are created using the original 30 minute segments from the original broadcast. We provide the segments you will need to download and the time stamps for when the clip or highlight takes place. All of the files are stored in FLV format and are grabbed directly from Twitch. We do not host any of the video files. Twitch does delete videos, so you may run into video links that no longer exist. You can easily convert the FLV files using FFMpeg to a more usable extension such as MP4 or AVI (tutorial).
